- Installer/stage ships PDBs next to peers (
StartMenuDLL.pdb, win711-shell.pdb, managed portable PDBs, etc.) for field crash analysis.
- Local gitignored
symbols\<VERSION>\ archive (tools/archive-symbols.ps1, auto on make stage) keeps a host-side symbol history for remote dumps.
- Shell crash breadcrumb
.txt: dump ok/fail, AV details, VERSION/file version, best-effort symbolized stack with file:line when PDBs are beside the modules.
